Confolens
Confolens stands right on the river Vienne and has a 13th century granite bridge. There are two churches worth a visit, dating from the 10th to the 15th century.
Every August the town hosts an international music and dance event “Festival de Confolens”, attracting over 300.000 visitors from around the world.
Confolens is also home to the “velo rail”, where you can pedal a small carriage on the old railway tracks to Roumazière. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the scenery.
Confolens is 22 minutes (23 km) from Puy-Leonard.
